FASHION COORDINATOR – FANITSA LIMBERIS (fanitsa_limberis@verizon.net)
Fanitsa Limberis’ love affair with fashion started when she was just a little girl, attending fashion shows with her mother, reading all the current fashion literature, and always studying the latest fashion trends. She began with modeling for companies such as Dillards and the Dallas Model Group. She competed in the Modeling Association of America International (MAAI) competition in New York, and took home two honorary medals, in runway and photography. Fanitsa found the modeling side spontaneous and fun, but she wanted to get more hands on and began styling and producing.
Fanitsa attended the University of North Texas, where she obtained a degree in Fashion
Merchandising with an emphasis in Business Administration. While pursuing her degree, she sat as President of Merchandising Inc., an organization dedicated to learning and gaining experience in the merchandising and fashion industry, and assisting Merchandising students as they begin their careers as professionals. It was always Fanitsa’s dream to someday live and work in New York, at the heart of the fashion industry. Her dream became a reality when she interned at Marie Claire magazine in New York City. Fanitsa credits her successful experience at Marie Claire to her exceptional creativity, tenacity, and endless energy.
A pivotal moment in her career was when she was stylist and co-producer of a fashion show, an experience she says she will never forget. Fanitsa has worked as an expediter at Dallas Market, where she worked directly with buyers and assisted them in choosing their lines for the season. She has also worked for Nordstrom as a stylist.
Fanitsa is the Fashion Show Producer for the Fashion Fix Up. She also offers a selected variety of styling and event services. To contact Fanitsa, email her at fanitsa_limberis@verizon.net

DESIGNER – AUGUST ALEXANDER (www.augustalexander.com)
After rapidly rising in the fashion industry, Courtney Alexander Russell created a nationally recognized ready-to-wear line, August Alexander. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Russell’s artistic talent was discovered at the early age of eight when he moved with his family to New York and attended private art classes at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art, a school for the gifted and talented. While there, Russell studied the life history, architectural projects and artistic styles of renowned artists, including Michelangelo. His passion for creativity led him to live his life learning the skills and techniques needed to become part of the artistic world. Starting as a painter and sculptor, Russell later gained the desire to sketch which ultimately led him to seek out an apprenticeship in New York with a renowned Italian tailor where he refined his skills and workmanship. During his apprenticeship, Russell gained the experience of sewing and was able to develop certain skills and techniques which allowed him to sew and work faster. Russell’s apprenticeship was quickly taken to the next level and he began to tailor wedding gowns and formal attire.
Russell eventually moved to Dallas, TX working with some of the best tailors in the city which provided him the resources and research to create his own unique line. Russell ultimately knew that his talent would lead him to developing a more upscale ready-to-wear line so in 2005, Russell decided to follow his dream, depict the Victorian Era and establish August Alexander. Derived from the Roman definition Augustus, meaning grand and majestic, and Alexander, Russell’s middle name that manifests greatness, the August Alexander line decidedly portrays luxury and distinction. Reflecting his deep appreciation for art, Russell’s August Alexander collection is developed from sketches and features structural wear featuring exotic fabrics and exaggerated colors for both men and women.
By creating an astounding reputation in Texas, Russell has thrived in the national scene. Within months of launching his ready-to-wear collection, Russell was selected to be one of only nine top emerging designers to be debuted in Miami at the 2008 Fresh Faces in Fashion event sponsored by Gen Art.
